This past quarter, I was enrolled in a creative writing Special Topics class. Specifically, one about writing fantasy. Over the course of the ten-week quarter we wrote 20-25 page short stories based in worlds of our own devising. Did all the workshops, all the critiques, all that. Mine was, I like to think, one of the better ones, though I may be a prejudiced observer.
Long story short, I’m thinking I’ll try and turn it into a novel. Considering how much I had to cut out to get it down to 25 pages, I don’t think it will be particularly difficult to do so.
